Business Branding is everything you say and everything you do, so to make it better you want to make sure that all of your brand identity and communication assets are the same!

Tip #1

Get a Branded Email Address
More often than not your customers are getting emails from you – whether to pay online, receiving invoices and using it in your marketing. So if you have a gmail, yahoo or hotmail it does not look as professional as an email address that is branded with your company name and domain i.e. andrea@b-zinga.com

Tip #2

Use a Professional Logo
Having a logo designed just for your business is better than buying a logo that someone else can use. I recommend you hire a graphic designer to create that logo that truly represents you and your company. They will also be able to provide quality files, so that your logo is always sharp and looks professional. This helps that first impression.

Tip #3

Develop a Brand “boilerplate” message
Create a written message around 150 words that shows what you do and what is your value to your clients. This messaging can be edited down to use in other places such as your website meta descriptions, on Google listing, your social media channels and as a pitch at networking events.

Tip #4

Create a Mood Board for your colours, fonts and images
By creating a mood board you have a quick reference to work from when you are creating content for your brand. It allows you to see ideas in one document and you can see how the colours, fonts and image work together. You only want to use 2 or 3 fonts and I suggest you develop a colour palette that is well balanced and reflective of your audience.

Tip #5

Be Consistent with your Brand Assets
ALWAYS – use the same logo, message and images on all platforms. If you do not, it can harm your brand, making it confusing and being inconsistent actually dilutes the brand rather than strengthening it.
